While two in ten children suffer from mental illness, fewer than one in six receive treatment. This service, the first of its kind in Ontario, is a model that is influencing the development of mental health services for children and adolescents across the province. The program offers a range of services for children and adolescents with a mental health problem: assessment and support in the emergency; urgent care; inpatient care; transition support and some outpatient assessment.
