Welcome to the Paediatric Outpatient Services!

Children and adolescents in our community have access to a wide range of outpatient services at St. Joseph’s health Centre. From the walk-in urgent care of the Just for Kids Clinic, open 363 days a year (closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day only) and staffed by Paediatricians, to the Asthma Clinic with its team of professionals ready to work closely with your family, the Paediatric Outpatient Department is looking for new and better ways to serve the children and families in our area. We are proud to provide services which put the needs of the patient and family first. Currently located on the 5th floor in the main hospital building, families receive a friendly welcome from our receptionist as she registers them and offers them a seat in our child-friendly reception room.

New for January 2012: The Paediatric Outpatient Services will be relocated to a brand new space on the 3rd floor of the Our Lady of Mercy Wing. Looking forward to seeing you there! For more information on our redevelopment, click here

Just For Kids

The Just For Kids Clinic is a Paediatric walk-in clinic for children up to and including 17 years of age. The Clinic is located on the First Floor, in the Glendale Wing.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., closing between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. for lunch.

Weekends and most Statutory Holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Services provided

• The Clinic is staffed by fully-trained paediatricians.
• The Clinic provides services to patients whose doctors may be away or unavailable.
• The Clinic provides complete clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• The Clinic has ready access to X-ray, ultrasound, MRI and blood work facilities since it is located within St. Joseph's Health Centre.

If one hour prior to closing, there are 10 to 12 patients registered and waiting to see the paediatrician, we will redirect additional patients the Emergency Department.
