Use of Personally Supplied Devices

Use of Personally Supplied Medical Devices

St. Joseph's permits persons with a disability to use their own assistive devices when accessing services at/or admitted to the Health Centre, unless otherwise prohibited due to health and safety or privacy issues. There are certain locations within the Health Centre that strictly prohibit the use of any patient/client supplied medical device for safety reasons.

Please speak to one of our Patient Care Managers or your nurse so they can assure your device is in good working order and safe to use in the hospital.

Use of Personally Supplied Non-Medical Devices
