What to Bring

There are some items that you should bring with you:

  • Your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) Card
  • If you've been to see us before, bring your St. Joseph's Health Centre patient card (blue card)
  • Any secondary insurance coverage information
  • A list of any medications you are taking, including inhalors
  • Toiletry items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, brush/comb, shaving equipment, shampoo and deodorant, cotton pyjamas with a button-down top, slippers, housecoat or dressing gown, glasses, hearing aids, and dentures
  • A battery-operated radio, if you wish

Valuables

Please leave all of your valuables at home. If necessary, valuables will be held by our Protection Services for safekeeping, although we can assume no responsibility for damage or loss. For information, please call Protection Services at 416-530-6382. They can also be paged at 416-739-5335.

Medications in the Room

If you have brought medications with you, please give them to your nurse for safekeeping. Do not keep medications at your bedside or in your room.
