It is mandatory that all learners wear their SJHC photo ID badge at all times while in the Health Centre. All ID badges must be returned to the Office of Medical Education at the end of the rotation.

For driving information and public transportation please view the Location & Parking page.

Parking for Medical Learners

The parking garage is at the corner of The Queensway and Sunnyside Avenue. Medical Learners need to obtain a parking decal from Patient Accounts, Room 1E128, Monday to Friday between 0730 - 16:00 hours. The parking decal needs to be placed on the rearview mirror at all times and will allow the trainee to park at a discounted rate of $4.00 per day or $50.00 a month. Only once a decal has been issued and displayed when parking, along with the time-ticket with the required rate where applicable, will the discounted rate be valid. If the decal is not visible on the rearview mirror when parking, the regular daily fee of $15.00 must be paid. Any vehicles not displaying a decal and / or time ticket will be fined at the owners’ expense ($25.00).

We recommend that learners pay for an hour of parking prior to Registration. This should cover the time it takes to Register with the Office of Medical Education and obtain a parking decal from Patient Accounts. As soon as a learner obtains their parking decal, it is important they return to their vehicle and pay any additional fees while displaying the decal. Please remember that parking fees need to be paid at the time of arrival, not when leaving the Health Centre.

Bike Racks

Bike racks can be found at various locations on the Health Centre grounds. Although these areas are patrolled regularly by Security staff, we advise all learners to lock their bicycles before entering the Health Centre. It is also important to remove any valuable items that you may be carrying on your bike.
