Through our affiliation with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto we have been actively involved in medical education for more than 70 years. St. Joseph’s was the first community teaching hospital in the GTA to achieveformalized teaching status in psychiatry, and the first community hospital to receive a general internal medicine residency placement from the University of Toronto. We are considered to be one of the most sought-after sites for medical students and residents in various specialties and sub-specialties.
