At St. Joe's, interprofessional collaboration is a priority. By learning together, we shape the way we practice as teams. Different disciplines are encouraged to break down barriers by sharing knowledge and expertise so that we can effectively "Put Our Patients First".
In order to encourage interprofessional practices here at St. Joseph's Health Centre, we host several events including our annual Interprofessional Education Week and Clinical Day.
Annual Events
Interprofessional Education Week
This week recognizes the interprofessional learning and collaboration at St. Joseph's and highlights our Vision to be Canada's Best Community Teaching Hospital. The fair provides an opportunity for the Health Centre's nurses, doctors and staff - who work cooperatively each day to save lives and serve the West Toronto community - to share and sharpen their skills in a hands-on way. With interactive mannequins and real-time Code Blues, the fair provides a great opportunity to showcase the groundbreaking interprofessional work being done at St. Joe's.
This year's 3rd Interprofessional Education Week will be taking place from October 18 to 22nd, 2010.
