Women's Population Panel

The Women’s Population Panel at St. Joseph’s Health Centre held its first meeting in January 2008. Since then, the WPP has been involved in discussions, provided advice and acted as a forum for the exchange of information in an effort to enhance the quality of women’s care at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.

Each panel being aligned with a program, the WPP falls under the auspices of  the Women’s, Children’s & Family Health Program in addition to receiving coordinating and facilitation support from the Patient, Family and Community Engagement (PF&CE).

The WPP holds monthly meetings, on the 4th Thursday of the month, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, usually taking a break during the summer and in December.

Similar to the other Panels, the WPP has 20 regular members, consisting of 7 community agency representatives, 7 community members at large, and 6 SJHC staff.

In addition, in an effort to provide a direct linkage between panel and program, the Administrative Director of the Women’s, Children’s & Family Health Program sits on the WPP as an ex-officio member. Similarly, the Director of Patient, Family and Community Engagement (PF&CE) also regularly participates in an ex-officio capacity.

Questions about the Women’s Population Panel, including inquiries about membership can be directed to Jutta Schaaf, Coordinator, PF&CE at schaaj@stjoe.on.ca or 416-530-6486 ext 3596.
