Seniors' Population Panel

Falling under the auspices of the Medicine, Ambulatory & Senior’s Health Program and working collaboratively with the Patient, Family and Community Engagement (PF&CE) Department, the Seniors’ Population Panel (SPP) at St. Joseph’s Health Centre has been in existence since September 2006.

The purpose of the SPP has been to share information, provide advice and offer recommendation in an effort to facilitate seniors’ centered care at the Health Centre.

Since its existence, the SPP has been holding 10 meetings per year, usually meeting the third Tuesday of the month, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

The SPP has 20 regular members, consisting of 7 community agency representatives, 7 community members at large, and 6 SJHC staff. In addition to these regular members, the Administrative Director of the Medicine, Ambulatory and Seniors’ Health Program and the Director of Patient, Family and Community Engagement (PF&CE) participate as ex-officio members.

Questions about the Seniors’ Population Panel, including inquiries about membership can be directed to Jutta Schaaf, Coordinator, PF&CE at schaaj@stjoe.on.ca or 416-530-6486 ext 3596.
