Something big can grow out of a small idea On April 12, Canadians across the country celebrated the 30th anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope and his goal to raise money for cancer research by running across Canada. Paula Larrondo, one of our social workers who has been providing care to cancer patients for 20 years, was able to celebrate the anniversary in a unique way.
Welcoming the next generation of nursesWith support from the Ministry of Health's New Graduated Guarantee program, we created an exciting opportunity for our new nursing grads by giving them the training, orientation and support they need to transition into a critical care environment - an area traditionally designated for the more seasoned and experienced nurse.
