Explanation of Items

Total Compensation (From 2010 Salary Disclosure List) - Figures are as reported in the 2010 Public Sector Salary Disclosure List and include the amount paid under the Executive Performance Incentive Plan. More information regarding the performance based compensation can be found in the below Quality Improvement Plan link. (associated links listed in chart below)

Benefits and Vacation - Benefits include items such as extended healthcare benefits, group life insurance and long-term disability. Executive Vacation entitlement is 6 weeks annually. Director Level vacation entitlements are as per SJHC’s vacation policy. (associated links listed in chart below)

Car Allowance - A car allowance is provided due to on-call responsibilities, community and stakeholder engagement, off-site meeting & travel distances in the Greater Toronto Area. (associated links listed in chart below)

St. Joseph’s Health Centre Pension Plan and Supplemental Employee Retirement Plan (SERP) - St. Joseph’s Health Centre provides all eligible employees access to a defined benefit pension plan. The Health Centre also maintains a Supplemental Employee Retirement plan. (associated links listed in chart below)

Severance Provisions - Severance amounts are determined by the Employment Standards Act and common law. There is no voluntary resignation allowance or retirement allowance provided.
